Ian has a background in education.
With his enthusiasm for sport he trained as a physical education teacher at Otago University and taught this subject for a number years.
He eventually became principal of two schools, then a lecturer at both Auckland and Christchurch Teachers’ Colleges in the area of educational leadership. He has a master’s degree in educational administration from Massey University. Ian also has his own educational consultancy and is also an approved trainer for the Ministry of Education to work with Boards of Trustees. |
